Student E-exchange Programme - INTERCULTURAL DESIGN

I. Overview
This workshop is organized by BINUS University (Indonesia), Duy Tan University (Vietnam), and Temasek Polytechnic (Singapore), in partnership with Passage to ASEAN Association.
The collaboration will be a virtual workshop and will include a presentation, discussions, and presentations. . There will be about 5 groups and each group will have students from the three Institutes of Higher Education (IHE).
The big topic is “Intercultural Exchange” that could be implemented in a design; it can be an architectural, fashion, or industrial design. Each group will choose the specific topic and also the object of the design. The object can be related to architecture (such as buildings or interior), fashion, multimedia, etc.

IV. Objectives
The purpose of this programme is to elevate the local culture where the three IHEs are located by applying intercultural design. Like an eclectic style, the style that encompasses a variety of styles or cultures or even a particular style from the past that is brought together in harmony through details of the elements, color, and shape.
 
The programme is designed to help the student:
(1) study the local culture of the nation of the three IHEs;
(2) elaborate the three cultures on a specific object:
(3) make a concept of the intercultural design; and
(4) prepare the presentation in PowerPoint (slide deck), video, or posters (students can select one or two media).
